Beijing Oriental built 10.5 generation line independently in Hefei in 2015. Its design capacity is 120,000 glass substrates per month. One glass substrates can cut 8 65-inch LCD panels. The person in charge of Beijing Oriental said that the 10.5 generation line surpassed any previous LCD panel production line in terms of product design and development, process guarantee and technical control difficulty. At the product offline and customer delivery ceremony held on that day, Beijing Oriental delivered 75 inches 8K 60Hz, 75 inches 8K 120Hz and other large-scale UHD displays to Samsung, LG, SONY and other customers.
Nowadays, super high definition and large size have become the development trend of display industry. According to IHS data, the composite growth rate of 8K panel market will reach 111% in the next five years, and the penetration rate of 8K will reach 25% in the large size panel market with sixty inches or more.
